Born in Canada to Dutch immigrant parents, I take pride in my heritage and cherish the opportunity to travel to Europe, immersing myself in the rich history and culture of its iconic cities. These experiences continually inspire my creativity and design perspective.
I honed my craft at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario, graduating with high honours in Design Communications and Computer Graphics. In 1993, I launched my own company, partnering with established design and marketing firms while building a diverse client base and gaining invaluable experience.
Over the years I’ve witnessed remarkable transformations in graphic design—from hand-drawn artwork to AI-generated digital assets, and from six-colour Heidelberg printing presses to the dynamic world of social media reels. While tools and mediums evolve, the essence of impactful design remains unchanged: fostering creative communication and forging emotional connections with audiences.
Great design is more than just impressive—it’s purposeful. It has the power to solve problems, communicate messages, and evoke emotions. To achieve this, design must be thoughtfully conceived, meticulously refined, and ultimately simple and clear. While this level of precision is no easy feat, great design should appear effortless when executed successfully.
I see myself as a strategic brand partner, recognizing that real success comes from collaboration and aligned goals. I work closely with experts in copywriting, IT, and production to create a seamless, integrated workflow. Together with sales, marketing teams, and executive leadership, we ensure every project meets—and exceeds—the client’s objectives.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to partner with a diverse range of businesses, from small local enterprises in my community to global organizations. I’m always excited to work with those who see design as a powerful tool for driving success.
